From July 17 to 19, AHB made its first appearance at the 19th International Polyurethane Exhibition (PU China 2024) in Shanghai. The company presented a lineup of cutting-edge bio-based materials and sustainable solutions under the theme “Innovating Chemistry, Carbon-Neutral Future.” AHB’s exhibit highlighted its strong commitment to meeting global demand for sustainable products and supporting the green transformation of the supply chain.
AH Synova® Brand Promotes Emissions Reduction Across Industry
To address the industry’s growing focus on cost efficiency, energy savings, and emissions reduction, AHB introduced its “Triple Zero” sustainability strategy. The main focus is on zero carbon emissions, zero waste, and zero fossil energy. Under this initiative, AHB has developed its AH Synova® bio-based monomers, including 1,3-propanediol (PDO), succinic acid (SA), and fumaric acid. All of these monomers are produced from renewable resources through eco-friendly, low-carbon processes. They maintain petroleum-based quality standards while offering a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
AHB has already achieved consistent, high-quality production of its bio-based AH Synova® PDO and AH Synova® SA series monomers, receiving certifications from organizations such as REACH, USDA, and Cosmos.
Driving Collaborative Innovation for Sustainable Polyurethane Production
In line with China’s carbon-neutral goals, bio-manufacturing has emerged as a strategic direction for new, sustainable production. AHB aims to build an integrated, innovation-focused polyurethane production chain that spans production, academia, research, and end-use applications. During the exhibition, AHB reached several preliminary collaboration agreements with leading firms across various polyurethane sectors. Key players in synthetic leather, elastomers, and consumer brand segments also engaged with AHB to explore potential applications of bio-based materials.
The push for bio-based polyurethane and other bio-based raw materials has become a priority across the industry. AHB plans to leverage its technical expertise and bio-manufacturing capabilities to advance the sustainable production of bio-based polyurethanes, polyester polyols, and polyether polyols. This initiative aims to move the entire polymer industry toward reducing emissions and promoting sustainable manufacturing.
AHB: Pioneering Green Technology and Sustainable Value Creation
Dedicated to delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-value products and solutions, AHB is committed to advancing the development of its bio-based monomer lineup. The company focuses on ongoing research, technological breakthroughs, and brand expansion. AHB envisions a future where bio-based materials play a central role in transforming China’s materials industry toward high-quality, sustainable bio-manufacturing practices.
