Since 2023, we have been implemented World Class Manufacturing (WCM) across production sites setting a goal for zero incidents, zero faults, zero downtime, zero complaints, and zero defects.

Raw Materials

All products use renewable corn as raw material currently, with a goal to have over 50% of products manufactured from multi-carbon source renewable raw materials by 2030.

Electricity

We are engaging in green transactions at all sites and initiating solar energy projects starting in 2022, aiming for 100% green electricity sourcing from solar, wind, and other renewable energy.

Biomass
Fuel

Replace petrochemical fuels in heating and steam procedure at our Qinhuangdao site with biomass boilers, with plans to use 100% biomass fuel at all sites by 2050.

End Hunger, Achieve Food Security, Improve Nutrition, and Promote Sustainable Agriculture

We have established a Crop Nutrition Application Research Institute in collaboration with BASF, offering scientific and effective solutions to provide sustainable value. Our L-Valine plays a crucial role in livestock growth with soybean meal usage reduction, thereby helping to conserve feed resources in the livestock industry.

Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All Ages

Our health, nutrition, biomedical, and high-performance materials contribute to all age groups, DL-Alanine and L-Malic Acid can partially replace salt and sugar in processed foods; 1,3-Propanediol and D-Panthenol contribute to healthy skin.

Responsible Consumption and Production

We successfully scaled up the anaerobic fermentation production of L-Alanine for green chelates like MGDA, aiding the green transformation of the detergent industry. We provide key raw materials for the PDO-PTT value chain, jointly advancing sustainability in the textile fiber market development.

Climate Action

We advocate for responsible climate action with stakeholders, replacing non-renewable petro-resources with renewable bio-resources in our energy structure and substituting high-energy, high-pollution traditional petrochemical processes with green, clean biological manufacturing.

Partnerships for the Goals

As a founding member of the Sustainability Covalence Alliance, we collaborate with BASF and other alliance members focusing on the value chain promoting, leveraging chemical innovation and global best practices to promote low-carbon development and circular economy in various industries.
