Raw Materials

All products use renewable corn as raw material currently, with a goal to have over 50% of products manufactured from multi-carbon source renewable raw materials by 2030.

We are engaging in green transactions at all sites and initiating solar energy projects starting in 2022, aiming for 100% green electricity sourcing from solar, wind, and other renewable energy.

Fuel

Replace petrochemical fuels in heating and steam procedure at our Qinhuangdao site with biomass boilers, with plans to use 100% biomass fuel at all sites by 2050.

Improve Nutrition, and Promote Sustainable Agriculture

In collaboration with BASF, we established a Crop Nutrition Research Institution to deliver sustainable solutions. Our L-Valine enhances livestock growth and reduces soybean meal usage, conserving valuable resources.

Ensure Healthy Lives and Promote Well-Being for All Ages

Our health, nutrition, biomedical, and high-performance materials benefit all age groups. DL-Alanine and L-Malic Acid can partially replace salt and sugar in processed foods, while 1,3-Propanediol and D-Panthenol support healthy skin.

Responsible Consumption and Production

We successfully scaled up anaerobic fermentation for L-Alanine production used in MGDA, supporting the detergent industry's green transformation. We also supply key raw materials for the PDO-PTT value chain, promoting sustainability in textile fiber market development.

Climate Action

We advocate for responsible climate action with our stakeholders by replacing non-renewable petro-resources with renewable bio-resources in our energy structure. Additionally, we substitute high-energy, high-pollution petrochemical processes with green, clean biological manufacturing.

As a founding member of the Sustainability Covalence Alliance, we collaborate with BASF and other members to apply global best practices, advancing low-carbon development and the circular economy across various industries.
