EuroTier 2022 | AHB focuses on animal health and ecological protection, and functional feed customization solutions help sustainable development

The EuroTier exhibition, hosted by the German Agricultural Society (DLG), concluded successfully from November 15th to 18th, 2022, spanning three remarkable days. EuroTier, the world’s largest, most specialized, and influential livestock show, revolved around the theme of “Transforming Livestock Farming.” As always, EuroTier provided innovative solutions for a future-oriented approach.

Under the goal of “Building a Sustainable Ecosystem for Animal Nutrition,” AHB introduced innovative feed solutions, including L-methionine, D-pantothenic acid calcium, myo-inositol, and more. These solutions aim to enhance animal production performance, improve reproduction, and boost immunity. Building upon our existing platform technology for L-methionine through fermentation, AHB has initiated the development of an environmentally friendly, bio-based L-methionine production process. This anaerobic fermentation process significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions, greatly lowers overall energy consumption, and substantially enhances resource utilization efficiency.

Amidst the current surge in feedstock prices, the development and application of low-protein, low-soybean meal diets have become a necessary choice for companies to reduce feed costs and achieve energy savings. In this context, L-methionine is set to play a pivotal role. According to the China Bio-fermentation Industry Association’s forecast, global demand for methionine is expected to reach 78,000 tons by 2023.

Furthermore, adding methionine, lysine, threonine, and tryptophan to feed, and then supplementing with methionine, can further reduce the protein levels in animal diets without affecting animal growth performance. This successful strategy effectively reduces feed costs, enhances energy efficiency, and meets the growing global demand for animal protein, all while aligning with the requirements of ecological sustainability.

“Sustainable development” has always been at the core of AHB’s objectives and long-term commitments. In the future, AHB’s Animal Nutrition Division will continue to strive to provide the market with more products that ensure the safety and health of animals and humans alike. We firmly believe that through innovation and sustainable practices, we can collectively construct a brighter future.
